Schaffer Family Law Group is led by Sarah Schaffer, who is known for her ability to connect with her clients in order to understand and appreciate their particular situation and the needs of their families. Sarah is a Certified Family Law Specialist, which means that she was certified by the State Bar of California as an attorney who has “gone beyond the standard licensing requirements.”
She holds a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in taxation and prior to practicing family law, worked as a tax consultant with Big 4 accounting firm Ernst & Young, background that serves her clients well in regard to tax and financial planning. In matters involving high-value property, large pensions, retirement accounts, and other assets, Sarah employs her tax background to ensure that her clients are well-protected. Prior to earning her law degree, Sarah served as in the United States Marine Corps and spent five years on active duty serving as a Logistics Officer. She continues to serve as a colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve. Military families in particular find Sarah’s understanding of the military and issues service members face enable her to provide superior counsel.
