San Diego, CA.  Schaffer Family Law Group is pleased to announce that Sarah T. Schaffer, CLS-F, LL.M, and Leslie Ryland, CLS-F, have been selected as 2026 Super Lawyers.

Founder and Managing Shareholder Sarah T. Schaffer has been selected to the Super Lawyers list in the area of Family Law. Schaffer is a Certified Legal Specialist in Family Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation. She is also a certified Collaborative Divorce practitioner and mediator.

Her practice focuses on representing clients in challenging, high-conflict family law matters, including complex child custody disputes and the division of businesses and other high-net-worth assets.

Schaffer previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps and recently retired as Deputy Director, Reserve Legal Support, Headquarters Marine Corps, Judge Advocate Division, Washington, D.C.

Principal Attorney Leslie Ryland has been selected to the Super Lawyers list in the area of Family Law. Ryland is a Certified Legal Specialist in Family Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization and is also a certified Collaborative Divorce practitioner. She is a past president of Collaborative Practice San Diego.

Ryland previously served on the Board of Directors of both the San Diego Family Law Bar Association and the North County Bar Association. She has represented clients in a wide array of family law matters and has a particular interest in custody issues.

She has litigated complex financial matters as well as highly contested custody cases and has extensive experience helping clients negotiate mediated settlements and participate in Collaborative Divorce.
